When parents say the magic word 'ice cream', suddenly all the children's attention is focused on us ... It is not really known what the origin of ice cream is. In the Middle Ages, in the Arab courts sugary products were prepared with fruit or juice and cooled with snow, and Marco Polo brought various recipes for frozen desserts used in China for hundreds of years ...
Whatever its origin, the truth is that ice creams are one of the favorite desserts of children, especially when the heat arrives and squeezes ... I prepare them together with my son, and I invite you to try to prepare one one of the summer classics: the Banana Split.
Ingredients:
- 2 bananas
- 150 ml of whipped cream (optional)
- Chocolate syrup
- 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream
- 1 scoop of chocolate ice cream
- 1 scoop of strawberry ice cream
- 2 tablespoons of chopped walnuts
- To decorate: chocolate toppings, wafer triangles, cherries ... it depends on what the children like the most and their age.
preparation: Place whipped cream for the base in a dessert plate. Open a banana and cut it lengthwise in half, sprinkling it with lemon juice and caramel syrup. Place two scoops of ice cream in the center, one chocolate, one strawberry and one vanilla. Decorate with the whipped cream or chocolate syrup, chopped nuts and for example two wafers in the shape of a triangle. With imagination you can make a little boat for the children ... And now that it's so hot, remember to sit still and enjoy this summer ice cream with your children.
